Another newborn session share from my Marietta studio to make you smile.  This sweet little one was so handsome and by the looks of his parents you can see why.  I just love his little lips!

Below is a view of a black distressed Organic Bloom frame that his Mom chose to frame one of the black and white images from our session.  Most of the families I meet say they will probably move in the next couple of years so this black or any neutral frame is great to have because it will look wonderful anywhere.  It is very classic.  These frames also come with an optional glaze and a gold or silver glaze would really dress it up.  I have a black frame with a silver glaze on the way that I can’t wait to share.  It will frame a white invitation and is going to look great.

When you have an ordering session with me, it is my goal to make it very easy for you to get framed images on your wall.  I know it can be overwhelming especially if you think you might move in the near future or just don’t know what to do.  I have a lot of experience walking people through this process and in the end they have beautiful wall art they can enjoy every day.  In the last 3 weeks I JUST framed my own newborn image of my NOW 4 year old.  Her sweet baby picture is just now framed and hanging on the wall!  I don’t want any other new mom to have to wait as long as I did and in hindsight I wish I had walked away with a framed image ready to hang.  At least it is up now – it is never too late!

I fell in love with newborn baby, Jordan, and I think he might have fallen in love with me.  Or, he was very interested in me at the very least.  This was the first newborn session I have had that for 3 hours the little one didn’t want to go to sleep.  He didn’t cry or fuss but he just stared at me and at times I thought he might talk to me.  He seemed more like a one month old baby than a little over a week like he was.  I think he must be very advanced for his age!  He was a sweetie and I enjoyed all the extra time I got to hold him and we still got many sweet pictures of him while he was little.

Look at the stunning morning light at my Marietta studio!  I love having the variety of shots and settings with such perfect light all in one place.

Is it really Fall now?  It snuck up on me somehow.  All the Maple trees in my neighborhood are already turning red which I love.  I also love this cool weather we are having but I will miss this green grass.  Thankfully the leaves are coming.  🙂

I love the smirk on this little girl’s face.  It makes me smile.  She did a great job of giving me a story to tell when we played in Marietta one morning.  Her Mom will soon be getting a gorgeous custom album to hold on to these memories forever.  My own little Kate isn’t much older than this and I know I just want to bottle her up and keep it forever.  I’m glad we got these great images of this cutie to always remember her Summer…especially now that is over!

Happy Fall, Y’all.

This picture is how you will find me at the Spring Jonquil Festival in Smyrna all day today.  I will be booking special mini-sessions for 2 days at the end of June.  You can only book today at the Jonquil Festival so I hope you can find me as these are the only mini-sessions I will offer all summer (and probably all year).  Come check out the details!  I will also have special portrait sessions (with gift frame) that are perfect for Mother’s Day gifts.  I am booked through June and I am so excited to fit in a few more people before the end of that month.

I will be trying hard not to spend all my money shopping with Easy Edges Studio who is with me.  She has the cutest stuff for kids and I can’t wait to buy Kate a pair of ruffle pants.  Those will come in handy since she refuses to wear dresses now (boo-hiss).

I hope to see you in downtown Smyrna today from 12-5!

This is just what I love to see on a Newborn’s changing table!  Keep your camera out at all times.  They change so fast and might smile or do something cute when you least expect it.  New moms can become so exhausted it is easy to lose perspective on how fast that newborn time flies by.

I actually think keeping your camera out and ready for all young children is a good idea.  You don’t have to download those images or do anything with them right away.  Just make sure you capture those special (and not so special) moments you can never get back.

Sweet Julianna in her Auburn Tutu.  She was quite the good sport on this day.  She stopped scowling when the  scary Marietta Daily Journal photographer that crashed our session went away and was so happy when Mommy started singing.  At least she actually made the paper although we can’t figure out which day!

We are gearing up at my house to meet all of our Auburn friends at the Cobb Galleria tonight for the Annual Atlanta Auburn Club Tiger Trek.  I’m going to let Coach Chizik sign something..maybe my kids foreheads and I hope to get a picture of me and the BCS trophy.  I’m sure my kids won’t stand still for that.

If any of my Auburn friends don’t have a ticket, I think there are some still available at the door.  See you at Tiger Walk!

Auburn Creed:
I believe that this is a practical world and that I can count only on what I earn. Therefore, I believe in work, hard work.
I believe in education, which gives me the knowledge to work wisely and trains my mind and my hands to work skillfully.
I believe in honesty and truthfulness, without which I cannot win the respect and confidence of my fellow men.
I believe in a sound mind, in a sound body and a spirit that is not afraid, and in clean sports that develop these qualities.
I believe in obedience to law because it protects the rights of all.
I believe in the human touch, which cultivates sympathy with my fellow men and mutual helpfulness and brings happiness for all.
I believe in my Country, because it is a land of freedom and because it is my own home, and that I can best serve that country by “doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with my God.”
And because Auburn men and women believe in these things, I believe in Auburn and love it.
