This Mama and Daddy adore their baby girl. Her cheeks are so squeezable!

Looks just like her Mom!

smyrna baby and family

We met early one summer morning to capture this sweet baby girl with her mom and dad. Windows to shoot can be short with infants so we met in Smyrna close to home so there wouldn’t be a long commute. She is about 3 and half months old here which is a wonderful age to capture after a newborn session. She was full of smiles and expressions that were fun to capture. At this young age before a baby can sit up on their own, parents are the perfect backdrop to add to a session. The smiles come easy with a cute, easy baby! And, I personally love capturing parents and their reactions watching their precious little one.

how cute is her adorable lemon outfit?

He is so sweet and I love seeing how much he looks like his big brother. I wonder if he will be as musical? little boys brother mother of four family

family of four mother little boy brother family-father-photoI just love the black and white pictures. So timeless and I know firsthand how precious the pictures below of these brothers “when they were little” will become in no time at all.   marietta newobrn family

This is a lovely family and I am excited to add to their growing wall gallery as their baby boys are born and grow bigger and bigger. What matters most to them hangs on the wall in a collection to enjoy at all times!

Newborn Sessions

***Newborn sessions are best held before 2 weeks of age. Lifestyle family sessions capturing both Mom, Dad and siblings are the best memories to capture at this special time of life.

Family love all around

Family LoveWhat a beautiful park for this session…oh no, not a park.  It is their beautiful home with plenty of room for two little boys to run and climb. This family can’t help but remind me of our family when my boys were younger and I tried to keep them as busy as possible (and they kept me even busier!). They are waiting on little sister to join them next month and then the fun will really begin! I can’t wait to see if she is as smart, talkative and curious as her big brothers. I hope she will wear a big bow in her hair even if she chases right behind them up the Magnolia Tree. Family LoveThe picture Mom will treasure most. All those boys will forever adore her!

Having Fun

baby boy wild thing costumeIf you want to know where the wild things are…it’s right here!  I’m catching up on some session-shares this month that I failed to post at the end of 2014 and hoping 2015 is off with a bang for you! family boy costume holidayIs this little one the cutest or what? With a Halloween costume this fantastic, we had to get a great picture of him dressed up even if he was about to outgrow it.  A great Etsy find by Mom based on the book Where the Wild Things Are. baby boy outside red family outside red baby family with baby coldThis session was one of my last of 2014.  I could only fit them in on a very cold a frigid morning – thank goodness for some warm sun that day.  Babies don’t usually mind the cold too much and the parents were dressed for the cold so it was awesome.  Don’t you know they looked perfect on their Christmas Cards this year! Best of all they have now have a beautiful wall gallery to show moments from this fun day so they can always remember their family at such a special time.  The framed gallery incorporates images from this day, their wedding and newborn session with a plan to grow so they can add other milestone moments or hopefully one day little brother or sister pictures. 🙂  If you have an empty wall, I can make this happen for you easily too.

Happy New Year!

family-of-5-blue_atlanta family-teens-picture family-parents_blueHandsome boys, sweet family, my favorite color–blue, and some gorgeous red hair makes this a special summer session share for me. I loved meeting this family and documenting them at this time in their lives. It really is a milestone for their youngest going back to school for his last year in preschool.  As teenagers, this is also a special time.  They will be Seniors in High School before they can even believe it.  In not even 3 years the portrait of this family will look very different so glad we captured them this summer.  Lucky for us we enjoyed one of Atlanta’s very cool mornings on this day.  I have lucked out with many of them this summer.  I don’t guess we will ever escape the humidity?    😉

Photographer’s Tip: True that blue is my favorite color.  Besides that, I love the way it pops in a natural setting of greens and browns.  Don’t be afraid of color when dressing for your photo session.  Find a color you look great in that also pops against your location and setting.  Green might not have been the best color in this setting but it would be great in an urban setting with lots of brick.

I had a great time hanging out with this group of Senior Graduates.  I was shooting the cover for this month’s issue of Our Town Magazine and we were ready to celebrate the beginning of summer and being out of high school forever.  Hanging out by the pool seemed like the perfect spot.  These Seniors have grown up in the Smyrna, Mableton or the Powder Springs area and started off together as preschool and early elementary students. And now look at them all grown up about to go off on their own.  Here are some favorite pictures of our time together. atlanta lifestyle teen seniors
