It is a lot more fun with three kids! | Marietta, Gerogia

It was fun spending time with this family.  I think we may have run a lot…that is pretty typical with any session that includes an 18 month old!  I love how busy and curious they always are. It is hard to believe that sweet little Grace is already 18 months old! This was a milestone session for Grace.  She is so cute and still has just a little bit of baby in her but you can see she is really a toddler now and on her way to being a big-girl 2 year old.  It is bittersweet that she has to grow up so fast. You want to keep the third one small longer (I think) but it will be fun to hear what she has to say soon!

Merry Christmas to this family.  How fun Christmas morning will be with three kids under the age of Six!

I had so much fun photographing this family. They were easy-going and pretty funny.  It was a milestone for this family because their youngest has graduated from high school and they will now have two in college.  This was probably the last time they will have professional portraits made until someone gets married.  They certainly made the most of it and now have beautiful portraits hanging in their home to always remember this time.  I always encourage families with High School Seniors to have a family photo session after graduation while everyone is still home and able to take part.  It is amazing how hard it is to get everyone together once kids start moving away.

It is a great time for High School Seniors to have their portraits made. I still have some spots just for Seniors next month so contact me if you need more details.  The light in the late afternoon is gorgeous!

This year I have been working with The Gold Hope Project to help Fighters and Survivors of pediatric cancer.  I had a session with a local “Fighter” recently.  I am so happy to now know Audrey, her mom and also her dog, George. Audrey is a Fighter for the second time with Neuroblastoma and has started chemo again this summer with a phase I trial at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.  We met one morning in Smyrna the week she started this new trial.  When I asked her mother what made Audrey the happiest she said “Dogs” so it was important to me to have George be a big part of our session.  I am so glad he was there.  I don’t think he cared much about having his picture made but he really brought out Audrey’s personality.

I ask all prayer warriors reading this to please pray for Audrey and her family. Please pray that the trial she is currently on is successful and mostly pray for a miracle as that is what is needed the most.  You can read more about Audrey’s story on Gold Hope’s Facebook page HERE.

If you know any other child under the age of 21 that is currently a “Fighter” of cancer or one that is a “Survivor” of the disease, you can direct them to The Gold Hope Project Site so they can apply for a session of their own and help spread awareness of pediatric cancers.  They can request me as their photographer or another one if they are not local.  It is an International organization with hundreds of photographers waiting to donate their time and give to others what they do best.

Atlanta Baby Photographer Mommy

It was an unusually cool morning for this milestone birthday session for two sisters.  You would never know they weren’t so into it would you?  Little Grace didn’t want to show us her new-found walking skills right away. I love that Mom could laugh about it all with me.  It only took a little patience and we got some really cute images from our time together.  I share that with you to let you know that we all have bad or off mornings and children are no different. I’m not bothered by waiting on them and it always works out.

Lollipops!

The lollipops at the end of our session certainly did not hurt and it was so fun watching them try to eat them. Grace was able to learn from her big sister just what to do with hers. 🙂

To say that I am partial to these two little girls would be an understatement.  I am honored to be their photographer and the one to have captured “one” and “three” with these girls.

A session share from my time with baby E. and his family at their home.  I agree with his Mom that he has some gorgeous, squishy baby lips.  They will soon be a gallery wrapped canvas on her wall. 🙂  Once I knew he was here, I had to know about his hair.  You will have to wait for why.  I will say now that when I had their session his hair was freshly washed and he had a perfectly coiffed do.  My mother saw these images on my computer and even commented “that baby has a nice head of hair.”  My babies were bald so I can appreciate it!

Baby E. and I fell in love and he did not want to sleep for me so that we could stare at each other. Ha! Even so, he was calm and so good (and I am patient!).  It gave us a good chance to shoot more lifestyle pictures while he was getting sleepy so he will always know how beautiful his Mom was when he was little and how crazy she was for him. I love favorite images on the wall and albums that show a fuller story and document more moments for a newborn.  I always show more images for newborn sessions for this reason.

I have a third with two big brothers and I guess you can’t help but be a little tougher in that situation!

I love the classic look of black and white for these shots. None of these boys will ever be this little ever again and so this is priceless to me.  Big Brother was so helpful and Middle brother had toy knives in his hand.  It was perfect – just like what this stage of life is really like.

As much as I normally love black and white newborn images, it is just hard to not go color with this family.  How can you hide these two gorgeous heads of red hair?  Not to mention the stunning blue eyes… No matter how hard they play every hair seems to wave and fall perfectly back in place.  I can’t wait to watch these three boys grow up together.  Their personalities are so sweet and all so very different – it is fun to be around them all.

I have had the priviledge of meeting several little newborn babies lately and this is one of them. Little Sofia is just as sweet and laid back as she seems in these pictures.  I love her black hair and sweet smile.  She is one of my baby plan clients and I am already anticipating the huge smiles we will see at her next session!

I love the sweet sleeping pictures of newborns and black and white is so classic and timeless to me.  The older I get, the more I am finding it important to get Mommies and Daddies in the pictures with their new bundles of joy.  That time can’t be recaptured.  I love shooting in homes to get lifestyle shots of what life was like “way back when.”  As Sofia grows up she will have a little glimpse of what life was like when she came into the world and how much her parents adored her.
