Smyrna Little League’s Closing Day of baseball is tomorrow.  You can find me early at the Mechanical Bull.  🙂  It has been a really fun season and this is a little preview of the Baseball Themed Session I donated for one of the families that benefited the Benchwarmers BBQ that will ultimately provide new bleacher covers at the fields.  I am all for keeping the freckles off my face!

More cute little kids in the gorgeous Spring morning light.  This little girly is just as spunky as my own and I love her Easter dress.  Her brother couldn’t be sweeter (and such a good helper)!

They are in the blue I love and back-dropped in all my favorite colors.  Their cute little faces should be permanent on my website!  Perfect Lisa Phillipson Photography branding, right? 🙂

Heads UP!

I am donating a Baseball Inspired Photography Session to Smyrna Little League to benefit their Benchwarmers BBQ this Saturday, April 14th.  It includes one framed portrait in a gorgeous 8×8 round Organic Bloom frame.  Get your tickets now to get in on the silent auction, raffle drawing, food, fun and music!   They have childcare if needed (Date Night!).  Their goal is to raise $12,000 for bleacher covers and I’m all for that – no more freckles for me!

I love the team pictures that are available, but wouldn’t you just love to have a professional custom portrait of your baseball player?  I have a dedicated Smyrna Little Leauger of my own and I love the photos I have taken of him in his uniform over the years.  I can’t wait to pass on this gift to other parents!  If your son is “into it” as much as mine, it is a wonderful way to mark this time in their lives.

This session was one I was working on from the end of last year and thought I would share.  I just love looking at this face!  By the beautiful colors you can tell it was a great day in Atlanta for pictures.  We were capturing little Charlie-Bear’s first birthday.  I was the lucky photographer that got to document the first time he ever had sugar when he had a red velvet cupcake (what a good Southern boy!).  His faces were hilarious and very appropriate that he wasn’t so sure about it because his parents are Dentists.  I bet they will be thrilled if he turns his nose to sweets!

He has the most pleasant face and is such a sweet boy. I just love looking at him.

Happy Birthday, Charlie-Bear!

TThis is my little love making a kissy face for you.  The best part of this picture is that I can see the Hello Kitty necklace she got for Christmas and wears almost every day (sometimes a Dora necklace will be substituted).  The necklace is held together by a very thin piece of elastic and it is only a matter of time before it breaks and is in a lot of pieces.  We will both be sad.  I never want to forget this time of life when Hello Kitty was such an important accessory in our lives.  🙂

I have never considered myself much of a Valentine person but I always help with the preschool Valentine parties.  I don’t know why except that it is a slower time of year and I probably need another excuse to eat chocolate.  One of the moms had a great idea to take these kissy face pictures for frames the kids would decorate.  I thought they turned out cute and it was fun to see which kids could and could not make a kissy face.  Apparently it isn’t that easy!  Here is a favorite:

And lastly, I leave you with a picture courtesy of my iphone of the lovely chocolate covered strawberries my husband sent me on the 13th.  We like to beat the crowd and celebrate early…always have.  A man who never remembers anything including what I said yesterday, but somehow remembers that I said I hate Valentine’s Day in 1997 sent these and I was thrilled.  The best  thing is that it recommended that they be eaten in 48 hours for freshness so I get to pig out and not be questioned on why they were gone so fast.  I don’t share chocolate (but I will give him ONE white one).  There are more than the 6 you see here but I won’t admit how many.  OINK!

I was excited to be the feature photographer for Our Town Magazine this month.  They have a cover story on one of my favorite clients, little Charlie-Bear.  His parents, Doctors Alex & Leslie Patrick, have a great Dental Practice in the Smyrna Vinings area.  It is at the corner of Cooper Lake and the East/West Connector.  I’ve gotten to know this family over the past year and think the world of them.  They are so professional and still very personable that I want to recommend them to all my friends.  You can tell them I sent you!
