More cute little kids in the gorgeous Spring morning light.  This little girly is just as spunky as my own and I love her Easter dress.  Her brother couldn’t be sweeter (and such a good helper)!

They are in the blue I love and back-dropped in all my favorite colors.  Their cute little faces should be permanent on my website!  Perfect Lisa Phillipson Photography branding, right? 🙂

Easter revisited!  I am still eating chocolate Easter Candy so I might as well post these pictures a little late.  All 3 of my children had Spring Break the week before and we ended up with a great Easter Weekend.  We were a bit lazy on Sunday after church and I can say that I am so glad someone named Bubba won The Masters!

And now back to business… Some pictures of Organic Bloom frames.  I get asked about these a lot so I like to share pictures online when I can.  They are much more beautiful in person if you want to stop by and see the quality of them.  I love mixing two frame shapes in wall galleries.  This is the color Espresso (dark brown and very popular).

Don’t forget the rounds or that there are many custom colors to choose from.  Most of the ones here you see do not have a glaze and show more of the wood through the paint for a great distressed look.  The small one on the bottom right shows a glaze in brown which is very gorgeous on the lighter colored frames.

I have some other frame styles I will be offering this year for my more traditional client homes so stay tuned!  My goal is to provide framed portraits for clients when possible so they can easily hang on their walls and enjoy right away.  I can guide you and make it really easy as I know it can be overwhelming with so many choices.

Heads UP!

I am donating a Baseball Inspired Photography Session to Smyrna Little League to benefit their Benchwarmers BBQ this Saturday, April 14th.  It includes one framed portrait in a gorgeous 8×8 round Organic Bloom frame.  Get your tickets now to get in on the silent auction, raffle drawing, food, fun and music!   They have childcare if needed (Date Night!).  Their goal is to raise $12,000 for bleacher covers and I’m all for that – no more freckles for me!

I love the team pictures that are available, but wouldn’t you just love to have a professional custom portrait of your baseball player?  I have a dedicated Smyrna Little Leauger of my own and I love the photos I have taken of him in his uniform over the years.  I can’t wait to pass on this gift to other parents!  If your son is “into it” as much as mine, it is a wonderful way to mark this time in their lives.

This is such a sweet family and I’m so glad I got to capture them having a little fun with their kids.  Having a new baby and a 2 year old little boy can be very challenging at times (I speak from experience).  There is so much work and exhaustion.  There is also a lot of joy  and laughter and I think you can see that in this family.  They adore their kids and these images will only become more precious as the years go by.

I hope everyone is enjoying their families this summer.  I had LOTS of time with my family at Disney and some of it was even fun (ha).  More on that later.

I’ll be out of the office again through the weekend for a REAL vacation and look forward to my upcoming baby sessions next week!  I’ll be sure to answer all emails by Monday.

He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.  –Matthew 28:6

I am posting early because soon my family will be eating chocolate at 7 am (Easter Bunny’s fault).  I wanted to share one of my most favorite Easter pictures from a couple of years ago.  It represents the fun of childhood and being carefree.  Also, I can only have a decent picture of my middle son in the Spring if his back is facing me.  He is allergic to trees and we fight hard to keep his eyes from swelling up shut through most of March and April every year.  Because Easter is falling so late in 2011, we are past our biggest hurdles and (fingers crossed) I might actually get a picture of him on Easter this year.  Only time will tell on how it will turn out.  I will take many pictures even if they aren’t perfect and hope you do the same!  Trust me…these kids only get bigger every year.

Before I go I have to share just one more image.  This was an Easter when my oldest (and only at the time) was about 15 months old.  Yes, they did have digital cameras way back then in case you were wondering!  I had Evan in a frilly Easter get-up and his fancy new shoes.  We took him outside for a picture but it was muddy and he threw the biggest fit of his life (up until then) because we wouldn’t let him get down in the mud.  I was laughing so hard I was crying.  Sometimes things are only funny years later but it was actually funny in that moment to me.  We have since had lots of fits and tantrums by many children at our house.  Some funny.  Some not.  I bet I will even get a few tantrums today (especially with all that Easter Bunny chocolate pumping through our veins)!  Funny how times I have changed.  I don’t have a frilly Easter get-up for anyone this year and I just hope the Polo shirt he grabs to wear is at least clean.  I might be sitting in church before I notice he never combed his hair and his brother is wearing red converse shoes with no laces or socks.

I love the missing teeth on toddlers this age.

Happy Easter!
