I was thrilled to have placed in the National Association of Child Photographers (NAPCP) 2013 International Image Competition with the two below images.  It was a great surprise to see the first Senior Image as a large print at the recent educational retreat I attended in Charleston, South Carolina. By the way, Congratulations to Matt, the most timeless baseball player to ever hit Campbell High School.  Graduation is less than a week away!  I’ll be posting more images from my Charleston trip in a few days.  Until then, here is the NAPCP press release that was issued:

On the 8th Day of Christmas… A Baseball Inspired Senior Boy Session Share

I know I say all my Seniors are so nice and great but this one really is!  We shot his whole session in and around the baseball field where he plays for his High School Team.  We captured a lot – the uniform, field, casual jeans & polo pictures and the Letter Jacket too.  We captured some really nice images to reflect what a big part of his Senior Year of High School was all about.  We also got the classic and timeless shots that never get old.  I was so happy to be the one to have this session with him.

Gift Ideas for the Baseball Enthusiast:

Teenagers might like a Snap-On Baseball Case for iPhone.  I also found a site called EverythingBaseball.com (which sums it up).  There are a lot of unique baseball gifts you can purchase.

Shutterfly is having a sale on Calendars – buy one and the rest are 50% off.  You could surprise your baseball fan with a calendar full of your favorite baseball pictures.  You can also get 40% off of photobooks through the 10th.  You will have to move on those things pretty quickly to get the deals and have it in hand for Christmas.

Good luck!

Merry Christmas!

“Honey-Boo-Boo!”

It is a milestone for this family with their youngest graduating from Middle School this year.  It was the perfect time for a family session this Fall.  They have marked the end of middle school with a portrait and have their Christmas cards taken care of as well.  You can look at a previous post HERE to see how I love wearing Red so that the clothing ties right into Christmas portraits.

I had a great time during this photo session.  Everyone in their family is so laid back and full of laughter despite the very trying week they had experienced.  It wasn’t work to get them to relax and it was fun to be around them.

Congratulations on making it to your last year of Middle School, Will!  Word on the street is you are a “stud-muffin” in your pictures.  Maybe so…but watch out because Andrew’s session is next!

By now many High School Graduation invitations and announcements have been mailed out all over Atlanta.  What an exciting time of life for all of these new graduates.  They have wonderfully bright futures and their whole lives ahead of them.  Congratulations, Class of 2012!  I hope you all have a fun and very memorable weekend.  Oh yeah, and take lots of pictures!

October Our Town Magazine for Smyrna, Vinings and Vinings Estates

Meet the Eaton Family of Smyrna, Georgia.  You can read all about them in the latest issue of Our Town.  These images were shot early in the morning at Cobb Park near Campbell High School where the Spooktacular Chase will start and stop this Saturday.

The Spooktacular Chase is Vision Rehabilitation Service of Georgia’s signature fundraising 5K run (and 1K walk).  If you haven’t signed up visit www.spooktacularchase.com for more information.  I hope you get to meet VSR’s mascot, SeeMore.  He was a real hoot (ha) and my first session with a mascot!

Even if you aren’t a runner, go out and support the race and when you are done you can head over to the Jonquil Festival and look for me!

If you did not get a copy of Our Town this month, stop by Rev Coffee in Smyrna.  They usually have a big stack of extras.

Lisa

campbell high senior picturesMeet Libbie.  I could tell you what she was laughing about but I think it was one of those you had to be there moments.  Anyway, her dimples are to die for and she is just as sweet as she looks.

It has been a busy 2 weeks for me and this super Senior Girl has had to be so patient to see some of her images.  I couldn’t go another day without getting a little sneak peek up for her.  Although it was a dreary, rainy day, we still had lots of fun.  It gave us a good excuse to pull out the umbrella and rain boots.  🙂
